Assistant Professor of Teaching, Wu Jieh Yee School of Interdisciplinary Studies (Post Ref.: 26/199)

The appointee will be responsible for teaching core courses within the GDS programme, employing a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to sustainable development. Candidates should be experienced in interdisciplinary, active, and project-based pedagogies, fostering an engaging learning environment that bridges theory and practice. All teaching will be conducted in English. In addition to teaching, the appointee will: · Engage in robust student advising and mentoring to support academic and professional development. · Assume the role of Programme Director for GDS, providing leadership in programme management, curriculum enhancement, and strategic development. · Contribute to departmental service and the continuous improvement of the student experience. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in fields related to global development and sustainability, including but not limited to human geography, environmental policy, sustainability economics, green urban design, humanitarian technology, climate change and public health, ecocultural tourism, biocultural diversity, community resilience, ESG and CSR. Priority will be given to candidates with interdisciplinary expertise.
