Private Equity Analyst Report To: Manager Department: Financial Services Location : Gurugram (Hybrid) Job Summary Evalueserve is seeking a highly motivated Private Markets Research Analyst to support leading private equity, private credit, and other alternative asset managers across the investment lifecycle. The role involves conducting in-depth company, industry, and market research; performing financial analysis and valuation; developing investment memorandums, pitch books, and client presentations; and supporting portfolio monitoring activities. This individual will work closely with global clients and internal teams to support strategic investment decisions while leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities · Conducting research and creating collateral for Private Markets clients like – Investor Presentation, Investment Memorandum & Pitchdecks o Prepare detailed client presentations, business plan, and board materials o Develop detailed company profiles, including business model analysis, financial summaries, and strategic positioning o Work on Industry research and market mapping to identify emerging trends and strategic opportunities · Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market screening, competitive benchmarking, and financial analysis to support investment decision-making · Perform financial statement analysis to evaluate business performance, capital structure, and returns · Create and review detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO and merger models · Analyze valuation multiples evolution across industry peers to identify potential buyer/seller dynamics · Perform comparable company analysis and precedent transaction analysis to support valuation and deal structuring · Engage in portfolio monitoring and valuation, supporting ongoing performance tracking, reporting, and strategic reviews for existing investments · Perform bespoke research & analysis on companies, sectors, geographies, or investment themes as required Required Qualifications · Postgraduate from a reputed institute with PGDM/MBA (Finance), Master’s degree with majors in finance, economics or accounting or Chartered Accountant or CFA · Strong research and analytical skills · Good command of Excel-based analysis and proficiency in PowerPoint for creating high-impact presentations and pitch materials · Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing documents and internal coordination · Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations · Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders · High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines · Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability · Challenging current thinking by implementing new ways of working · Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in small, high-performing teams · Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot)
