Summary/Objective

  • The Regional Director is responsible for providing direction, maintaining compliance, ensuring
  • the overall successful operation at each individual location. This role manages the effective and
  • efficient execution of all operational systems, processes and policies in support of the
  • Company’s mission, vision, and values. This position serves as an extension of the Chief
  • Operating Officer and Director of Operations, directly supervising all department managers;
  • executing strategy, providing direction and ongoing training to ensure members receive
  • outstanding customer service, by a friendly staff in exceptionally clean, well-maintained
  • facilities.
  • This is an elevated management position that supervises location managers and oversees the
  • general operation of the department. This is a hands-on role that operates in a fast-paced,
  • cross-functional working environment. This position requires advanced critical thinking,
  • exemplary tasks execution, and the confidence to lead staff, peers and senior leadership. This
  • individual must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, perform under
  • pressure, and handle confidential matters with discretion.

General Accountabilities

  • ● Oversees the Operations department at all DMV area locations to ensure compliance
  • and alignment with the strategic and financial goals of the Organization.
  • ● Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance and drive customer
  • satisfaction.
  • ● Performs duties normally associated with supervisory positions such as hiring, training,
  • scheduling, payroll, disciplinary counseling, and performance management.
  • ● Manages the use of budgets; monitors department salaries, timecards, commissions,
  • and bonus payouts, to ensure compliance and alignment with department goals.
  • ● Develops and maintains a qualified and integral team that effectively represents the
  • quality and professionalism of the Organization.
  • ● Educates staff of proper company policies and procedures.
  • ● Communicates areas of accountability and performance expectations to direct reports.
  • ● Develops managers for future advancement.
  • ● Assists with strategies for developing business and achieving the department’s revenue
  • and brand goals.
  • ● Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale
  • and productivity.
  • ● Solicits and appropriately responds to positive and negative member feedback.
  • ● Attends management meetings and participates in training seminars as requested or
  • needed.
  • ● Ensures proper execution of all Company strategies, procedures, and techniques.
  • ● Keeps Senior leadership promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters
  • of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests
  • alternative courses of action which may be taken.
  • ● Ensures completion of various daily, weekly and monthly tasks and reports, in a timely
  • and accurate manner, as assigned or requested by management.
  • ● Represents the company in a professional manner at all times.

Required Education and Experience

  • ● Must be 18 years or older
  • ● Must have GED or High School Equivalency
  • ● Bachelor’s degree in business or related field- preferred
  • ● 2-5 years of industry related experience
  • ● 2-3 years of experience as a managing director or in a similar role
  • ● Prior experience in developing and implementing strategy and /or business plans
  • ● Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ● Active CPR certification (not required at the time of hire but must be obtained within 30
  • days of hire).

Supervisory Responsibility

  • The Regional Director serves as the immediate supervisor to the managers within the
  • department and indirect supervisor to the reporting employees. As a department supervisor,
  • this role is responsible for executing departmental processes, managing profitability, and
  • overseeing the day-to-day operation of the department.

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a flexible office setting and in a gym/recreation center environment. It
  • requires the ability to be productive working at various locations without a dedicated office
  • space. It does allow for some remote work though 80% of this role should be spent in the gyms
  • supporting our boots on the ground teams. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
  • such as computers, tablets, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Directors must
  • be computer literate and comfortable working with a multitude of computer software and
  • information systems. This position is frequently in an environment where noise levels vary from
  • quiet while at home or in the gym during the day, and loud when in a facility during
  • programming.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
  • employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. At times, this position
  • requires hands-on physical activity. Directors must have a high degree of energy, be physically
  • fit, and have the endurance to participate in the physical activity that is the center of our
  • Company product.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position that requires a physical onsite presence and a minimum of 40
  • scheduled hours per work week. While the expected days and hours of work are Monday
  • through Friday, 9am to 6pm, this schedule is largely dictated by the demands of the department
  • and at times may lack consistency from week to week. Early morning, evening and weekend
  • work is frequently required as job duties demand, however flextime may be granted to offset
  • early morning, evening, or weekend hours worked, subject to supervisor approval.

Travel

  • This position requires a medium to moderate amount of travel. This individual will be expected
  • but not limited to travel between all locations as job duties demand. Although travel is primarily
  • local during the business day, some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
