You will become part of a dedicated team of skilled professionals committed to ensuring the health and safety of both our products and the people who use and produce them.

The team consists of colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and they describe themselves as collaborative, knowledge driven, and passionate about product safety and sustainable materials.

Working closely with colleagues across Regulatory and Public Affairs, R&D, quality you will be central in ensuring ROCKWOOL maintains its strong reputation for safety.

In this role, you will

  • Take active part in internal ROCKWOOL projects as well as international projects and collaborations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, safety and R&D teams to ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Represent ROCKWOOL in global associations and standardisation bodies
  • Communicate findings and safety guidance clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on international toxicology trends within new approach methodologies, research, and regulatory changes.
  • Support toxicological assessments of raw materials, fibers and finished products.
  • This position calls for analytical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to balance precision with practical business needs.
  • Expect 20-40 days of annual travel, primarily within Europe, as you oversee projects across ROCKWOOL’s global operations.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with

  • A degree in biochemistry, Biomedical Science with courses in toxicology, a degree in Toxicology, or other related discipline (MSc or PhD preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in toxicology, preferably in materials, manufacturing, or consumer products.
  • Experience from regulatory work in relation to toxicology
  • Familiarity with REACH, CLP, and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Strong ability to interpret data from studies in the field of toxicology and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and adaptability in a changing environment.
