Req ID 87559 | Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, ZF ENGINEERING AND SHARED SERVICES MONTERREY, S DE RL DE CV Job Description About the team: The Program Purchasing department is responsible for managing purchasing-related activities throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring part availability, cost targets, and supplier readiness. The role acts as a key interface between the plant, suppliers, and cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality, and program management. It plays a critical part in driving sourcing decisions, cost optimization, and the successful launch of new products. What can you look forward as a Program Buyer: Ensure part availability and purchasing readiness throughout all phases of the project. Lead and coordinate sub‑projects, acting as the main interface between Purchasing, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and other cross‑functional teams. Manage and track PPAP status for purchased components according to project milestones. Administer and cost‑track Bills of Materials (BoMs), ensuring alignment with target cost objectives. Drive sourcing activities—including timing, cost, and quality targets—in accordance with project requirements. Support supplier selection for new components and coordinate all purchasing‑related project tasks, removing roadblocks and ensuring timely decision‑making. Lead and track relocation, cost‑optimization, and value‑improvement initiatives. Plan and monitor purchasing budgets and revenues in alignment with other functions, including validation and documentation tracking with suppliers. Maintain clear communication between the plant and the corporate purchasing/supply chain organization. Provide internal reporting of KPIs, milestones, and purchasing activity status, and coordinate sub‑project updates towards the customer. Your profile as a Program Buyer: Fluent in English (writing & Speaking). Analytic skills. Proactive. Microsoft programs knowledge. Bachelor of industrial Engineering, International Relations/Business. Power BI knowledge. Teamwork and communication skills.
