About The Role
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables The role is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for spare parts, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity. The incumbent will drive supply chain efficiency, enhance vendor partnerships, and support business growth through effective sourcing strategies. Key Responsibilities 1. Sourcing & Procurement Lead sourcing and procurement activities for spare parts, including high lead-time and critical components. Negotiate and finalize pricing, packaging (PKG), and transportation costs with suppliers. Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring quality and timely procurement. 2. Supply Chain Strategy Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives. Ensure availability of parts through robust supplier planning and execution. Support business expansion by building a resilient and scalable sourcing framework. 3. Supplier Performance Management Monitor and optimize supplier performance through defined KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), lead time, and SCM initiatives. Drive supplier development programs to improve quality, capacity, and delivery performance. Establish strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term value creation. 4. Inventory & Planning Alignment Collaborate closely with Sales and Demand Planning teams to ensure accurate inventory levels. Drive initiatives to reduce excess inventory and avoid stock-outs. Improve inventory turns and working capital efficiency. 5. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Introduce and implement Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain processes. Benchmark best practices to maintain a competitive edge. 6. Systems & Analytics Leverage SAP and digital tools for procurement, supplier management, and reporting. Use data analytics to drive informed decision-making, forecasting, and performance tracking. Create dashboards and MIS reports for business reviews. Preferred Industries Auto / Auto Equipment Auto Components Education Qualification Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelors of Technology General Experience BE / <B.Tech> ( Exp. 8 to 12 Years) Critical Experience Critical Skill Sets Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) Strong analytical skills, including data and trend analysis Forecasting and planning capability Exposure to Power BI or similar analytics tools (preferred) Strong negotiation and techno-commercial skills System Generated Core Skills SAP Analytical Thinking Communication Skills System Generated Secondary Skills
