Assistant Manager - Plant Engineering

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables Creation of Manufacturing, Process, and SAP BOM as per R&D inputs and supply conditions. Timely updating of engineering changes in SAP BOM as per implementation requirements. Ensuring no vehicle declaration remains pending due to BOM-related errors. Conducting physical verification of SAP BOM to ensure accuracy and correctness. Performing static builds of new variants (as required) to validate BOM correctness before productionization. Initiating and implementing cost-saving and standardization proposals. Driving process improvement initiatives and their implementation. Planning and executing projects related to new products and model transfers. Identifying opportunities for outsourcing/off-loading in-house activities to enhance capacity and improve productivity. Managing selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of facilities, tooling, and equipment related to TCF and EOL. Conducting process planning, design, and documentation activities. Performing feasibility studies, budgeting, and obtaining approvals for new products, projects, and equipment. Planning and arranging facilities, space utilization, material handling, and storage equipment Taking corrective and preventive actions for field and in-house defects arising from process deficiencies Preferred Industries Auto / Auto Equipment Auto Components Education Qualification Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engg.; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile General Experience 3 to 10 years in Automobile / Engg Industry System Generated Core Skills Process Knowledge - Manufacturing SAP Bill of Materials (BOM) Engineering Changes Inventory Management Physical verification Value Engineering Cost Optimization Process Improvement Capacity Enhancement Installation & Commissioning Process Knowledge - Assembly Process Planning Documentation Feasibility Analysis Budgeting Corrective Actions Quality Management
