CAD Designer - C

Job Title: Designer C Job Number: 39843 Job Location: Plano/Richardson TX Job Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: Essential Functions: Create CAD models of custom machined parts and assemblies Conceptualize new design solutions Document design requirements with fully-defined engineering drawings Research COTS components for suitability to requirements Update documentation per engineering direction Create drawings for Circuit Card Assemblies, electrical cables, & other electro-mechanical assemblies Mastery of CAD modeling best-practices Strong 3D visualization aptitude Proficient with CAD softwares; Solidworks and/or CREO Clear & concise verbal and written communication Experience using Microsoft Office products Perform trade studies between design alternatives Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance Physical Requirements (such as ability to lift up to 20 lbs.) Occasional local travel may be required Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Competency in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Excellent people skills, collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
