About The Role
Job Title: Principal, HR Business Partner Job Code: 40405 Job Location: Onsite – Palm Bay, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off) Job Description: L3Harris is seeking an influential and forward-thinking Principal HR Business Partner to play a critical role in shaping the people strategy for our Space & Mission Systems (SMS) Segment. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and their teams, driving HR initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and deliver impactful HR solutions across aligned functions. This position is ideal for a strategic, data-driven HR leader who enjoys solving complex organizational challenges while building strong relationships across the business. This is an on-site position located in Palm Bay, FL. Essential Functions: • Provide primary HR strategic advice to multiple senior-level executives within the SMS Segment, offering consultative support on complex organizational, talent, and business challenges • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, provide data-driven insights that inform decision-making, and develop recommendations on organizational design. Create executive-level metrics and presentations to translate HR data into compelling business narratives and actionable insights • Lead talent management and succession planning initiatives. Partner with leaders on talent decisions, and identify, assess, and develop high-potential talent to build robust leadership pipelines • Design and implement targeted development strategies for critical roles and key talent • Lead and influence organizational change initiatives and transformation efforts • Drive initiatives to enhance organizational agility, collaboration, and performance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters, performance management, and sensitive organizational issues • Lead and execute HR special projects and strategic initiatives • Collaborate with Corporate HR, Segment HR COEs, Sector HR, and cross-functional partners to drive best practices and innovative solutions • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; OR, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. • 12+ years of progressive HR experience in dynamic, matrixed environments Preferred Additional Skills: • Strong HR and business acumen • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and demonstrated self-initiative • Highly adaptable and able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments • Track record of delivering commitments and driving measurable business impact • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all organizational levels • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities • Professional integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting • Experience with HRIS systems, talent management platforms, and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams) • Experience coaching or supporting executive-level leadership #LI-CG1
