About The Role
Your job is more than a job The Supervisor, Accounts Payable coordinates all activity as it relates to the timely payment of vendor invoices. This position routinely is involved in resolving invoice discrepancies and improving the efficiency of the accounts payable process. Everyday tasks include pay cycle runs, managing match exception vouchers and the receipt accrual report, approving accounts payable paperwork, handling vendor requests, handling accounts payable month end accruals, and helping to process invoices when short staffed. This position will also train newly hired accounts payable clerks. Your Everyday GENERAL DUTIES People: Supervises accounts payable clerks and accounts payable records clerk. Trains all newly hired accounts payable clerks. Approves accounts payable paperwork ensuring that policy is being followed. Runs the daily express check pay cycle and the weekly pay cycle. Manages the accounts payable RNI. Manages voucher match exceptions and assist in investigating and resolving match exceptions. Manages vendor statements Assists in special accounts payable requests including running queries and managing the receipt accrual process. Assists in tasks associated with the year-end audit as it relates to accounts payable. Manages the check voiding process. Assists in testing of computer upgrades, patches and changes. The Must-Haves Minimum: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience. Preferred: 4 years Accounts payable experience with 2 years supervisory experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Personal computer literacy. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
