Purchasing Officer - Imports Buyer

Your areas of responsibility: Procure imported raw materials, packaging, finished goods and indirect products through international suppliers using sea and air freight channels. Coordinate import shipments, customs documentation, freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure on-time delivery. Create, manage and expedite purchase orders, supplier confirmations and imported stock transactions within SAP. Monitor inventory levels, supplier performance and lead times to support continuity of supply and minimize stock risks. Maintain procurement master data, import records and compliance documentation, including permits and customs requirements. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers while identifying opportunities to improve cost, service and supply reliability. Qualifications and Skills we are looking for: Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field (NQF Level 7 or higher). 1-3 years experience in imports procurement or supply chain planning.
