About The Role
Function The internship takes place in the Grid Development department, within the Power System Planning (PSP) team. The objective is to develop tools enabling time-based sensitivity analyses of grid reinforcement projects and their impact on flexibility requirements. Main activities include: Developing a tool that maps client flexibility needs to overloaded grid assets. Identifying relevant grid reinforcement projects within the Infrastructure Investment Portfolio. Performing time-based sensitivity analyses of reinforcement project schedules. Quantifying the impact of scheduling shifts on required flexibility solutions, considering project interdependencies. Your Profile Master’s student in Civil Engineering . Strong interest in power systems, grid planning and energy transition. Knowledge of or interest in: Python scripting Optimization Power system analysis Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a technical environment. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French and/or English . Offer A technically challenging internship with societal relevance. Close supervision by experienced engineers. Development of advanced technical and analytical skills. A collaborative, multidisciplinary working environment.
