Global Events Manager – Regulatory Services
UK – homebased with 35% travel required to EMEA/AMAS/APAC

About the role
Our Marketing team within Regulatory Services (RS) is looking for a Global Events Manager who will be responsible for the planning, organisation, execution, and evaluation of RS Global Medical Devices, Artificial intelligence, and Product Certification corporate events. The role will work closely with the Global Marketing teams, as well as country marketing and commercial teams, and will play a key role in leading BSI’s growing portfolio of global corporate events.
Responsibilities
Events Strategy & Management
- Lead the Global RS corporate events portfolio (Medical Devices, AI, Product Certification), ensuring alignment with BSI priorities and anticipated ROI.
- Maintain a global events calendar and ensure alignment across Global, Regional and Local teams.
End-to-End Planning & Execution
- Plan, organise, execute, and evaluate global priority events.
- Oversee logistics, production, venue and supplier management, staff coordination and onsite delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with Global RS Marketing, country marketing teams, commercial teams, SMEs and external partners.
Provide guidance and oversight for global, regional and local events to ensure consistency and quality.
Budget, risk & compliance
Own budgeting for each event, including forecasting, approvals, tracking and reconciliation. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, data protection, procurement and relevant local regulations.
Platforms, Data & Reporting
- Manage event-related activity within Cvent, Salesforce and Optimizely.
- Ensure accurate data capture, GDPR-compliant consent and smooth lead routing into commercial teams.
- Track KPIs and produce structured reporting on performance, ROI, leads/opportunities and insights. Lead post-event reviews and drive continuous improvement.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, manage and develop Global and Regional events team members, ensuring clarity of roles and strong collaboration.
To be successful in the role, you will have
4+ years’ experience in event management including managing virtual/hybrid and physical events internationally, with a strong commercial understanding. Preferrable knowledge of the MedTech and Regulatory sector
Proven planning/project management skills in events.
Previous experience of line management.
Evidence of strong relationship management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Excellent administration skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills.
