Reporting to the EMEA Head of Partners, this role is a key contributor within the Ciena Partner Network Ecosystem (CPNe), shaping and scaling carrier managed services that unlock new revenue streams, strengthen strategic partnerships, and accelerate growth across the global telecommunications ecosystem. How you will make an impact: • Drive the development and monetization of new carrier managed services, including productization, lead‑to‑cash processes, operational support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS), and partner‑facing service storyboards • Lead consultative sales and business development initiatives spanning strategy development, executive‑level engagement, opportunity qualification, and support through deal closure • Identify priority market segments, quantify addressable opportunities, and assess competitive dynamics to unlock new growth across the partner ecosystem • Build and sustain strong executive relationships with partner sales and marketing leaders to accelerate joint go‑to‑market success • Lead partner onboarding, enablement, and market development activities to support effective adoption and scale • Apply best practices in consulting, sales enablement, marketing, and business development aligned with Ciena values and team culture • Monitor progress against business objectives and guide resource prioritization, including operating expense (OPEX) and Market Development Funds (MDF) The must haves: • 8+ years of experience working in or with telecommunications service providers or network operators across sales, channel sales, business development, product management, or consulting roles • 5+ years of experience in a telecommunications consulting role or equivalent consulting experience • Proven experience across the telecommunications ecosystem, including global carriers, Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators, regional service providers, multiple system operators (MSOs), data center operators, and cloud providers • Demonstrated experience across the service provider product development lifecycle, including service launch, operationalization, and go‑to‑market enablement • Experience with direct and indirect sales strategies, including wholesale and enterprise communications services • Strong knowledge of channel programs, channel policies, and partner management models • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant leadership experience Nice to haves: • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced technical degree • Strong analytical, collaborative, and executive‑level communication skills • Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment • High motivation with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities across accounts • Willingness to travel frequently in support of partners and customers Not ready to apply?
