About The Role
Job Purpose Manage raw material and indirect importation activities for two production factories in Vietnam, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities 1. Import Customs Declaration Management (65%) Collect and verify complete shipping documentation Coordinate with customs brokers and approve customs declarations Liaise with customs authorities when required Collaborate with Finance to process import tax payments (if applicable) Coordinate with Logistics team for delivery from port to warehouses Handle temporary import/export transactions when required Conduct monthly debit note checking and confirmation prior to invoicing (1–2 times/month) Maintain and update master data (HS code, article name, import license, quota, etc.) 2. Regulatory Updates & Compliance (10%) Monitor and stay updated on local laws and regulations related to import of raw and indirect materials Assess the impact of regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders 3. Free Trade Agreement (FTA) & Preferential Tax Management (15%) Track updates on applicable free trade agreements (e.g., EVFTA, ATIGA, AK, etc.) Work with shippers to ensure compliance with documentation and requirements for preferential import tax 4. Additional Tasks (10%) Prepare personal KPIs and participate in projects Perform additional duties as assigned by management Authority Review logistics cost debit notes Propose solutions and corrective actions for ad-hoc issues Key Stakeholders Internal Logistics (LOG): Goods receipt, storage, delivery Finance (FICO): Cost management, import tax R&D: Product description and usage purpose Procurement (PRO) & PMS: PO, shipping documents, transfer pricing Legal: Contract review and legal advisory External 3PL Providers: Customs operations supervision Customs Authorities: Approval of import declarations Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree (required) Preferred majors: Foreign Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics Experience Must-have: Strong understanding of Incoterms and customs processes Minimum 3 years of experience in import customs clearance in a non-EPE (Non-Export Processing Enterprise) Preferred: Understanding of UCP Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or drug industries Knowledge of FTAs (EVFTA, ATIGA, AK, etc.) SAP experience Experience with quota and visa procedures Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) English communication skills Strong problem-solving ability Clear, direct communication Logical thinking Additional Information Involves cross-functional coordination and regulatory compliance Requires attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
