Riveron’s Interim Tax Management (ITM) practice embeds senior tax professionals directly into client organizations—stepping in as Head of Tax, standing up new tax functions, or leading through a major transaction. You’ll work across a range of clients, from private equity-backed portfolio companies to large corporates navigating regulatory complexity, delivering practical solutions with immediate <impact.In> an environment marked by rapid tax regulatory changes at the federal, state, international and local levels, it is crucial to have real-time insights. Our team stays abreast of these changes and their implications for income and indirect taxes, allowing companies to focus on their day-to-day operations. By taking a proactive and practical approach, we deliver pragmatic solutions to address tax challenges and enhance internal tax functions.Our Tax Advisory services encompass a range of areas, including Accounting for Income Taxes, Transaction Tax, Sales and Use Tax, Distressed and Bankruptcy Tax, and General Tax Consulting including Transfer Pricing and Tax Technology solutions. With our expertise in these domains, we offer tailored guidance and strategic counsel to meet the unique needs of each client.Whether a client needs an interim Head of Tax, assistance standing up a tax department, or leadership through a major transaction, Riveron's ITM professionals deliver practical solutions with immediate impact. You’ll rotate across industries and client situations—bringing real-time judgment where it matters most, with the backing of a national consulting platform.Who You Are:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related fieldCPA preferred13+ years of progressive corporate tax, public accounting, or tax consulting experienceExperience serving as a Tax Director, Senior Manager, or tax function leaderStrong technical knowledge of:ASC 740 (income tax accounting)Federal, state, and local income tax complianceM&A tax implicationsTax controls and governanceExperience supporting private equity-backed companies, carve-outs, or complex corporate transactions preferredComfortable leading client-facing engagements and serving as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Controllers, and executive leadershipExposure to indirect tax (Sales & Use, VAT or tax technology platforms)Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to thrive in fast-paced, changing environmentsWillingness to travel based on client needsWhat You’ll Do:Use tax technical knowledge to advise clients on complex tax implications, liabilities, and strategiesRemain up to date on tax issues, legislative changes, and best practicesProvide guidance and issue resolution support to teams across multiple concurrent client engagementsProvide Interim Tax LeadershipServe as a Tax Leader for clients experiencing organizational change or leadership transitionsLead day-to-day tax operations while ensuring business continuity during critical periodsAct as the primary tax advisor to executive leadership, finance teams, external auditors, and outside tax service providersDrive Tax Operations & ComplianceOversee federal, state, and local income tax compliance workflows and filing calendarsManage relationships with external preparers and review tax provisions under ASC 740Identify and remediate tax risks; strengthen internal controls and governance frameworksLead Tax Transformation InitiativesAssess and redesign tax operating models, processes, and organizational structuresEvaluate and implement tax technology solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reportingPartner with finance and IT teams to integrate tax requirements into broader ERP and data initiativesSupport Tax-Driven TransactionsAdvise on tax implications of M&A, carve-outs, restructurings, and other strategic transactionsLead tax due diligence and coordinate with deal teams, legal counsel, and outside advisorsManage post-close integration of tax functions, reporting, and compliance obligationsAbout Riveron:At Riveron, we partner with clients—from global multinationals to high-growth private entities—to solve complex finance challenges, guided by our DELTA values: Drive, Excellence, Leadership, Teamwork, and Accountability.
