PLACE OF WORK Solarstraße 7, 4653 Eberstalzell (5020 Salzburg from Sept. 2026) AREA OF EMPLOYMENT Supply Chain Management EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-time SALARY Gross annual salary starting from € 62.500* *willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications As soon as possible .profile_item { list-style-type: none !important; } .profile_heading { font-weight: bold; } .profile_content { padding-bottom: 0.5rem; } .profile_section:has(.profile_item:empty) { display: none; } How You’ll Make Your Mark Your main tasks in this role are: As a Freight Sourcing Expert, you'll take end-to-end ownership of complex and strategic freight sourcing initiatives across regions You'll lead and structure large-scale tender processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP) , ensuring delivery against strategic objectives Your tasks include to define sourcing approaches, develop negotiation strategies, and lead high-impact supplier negotiations You'll act as the primary project lead for transport procurement projects , managing timelines, risks, and outcomes In your role you'll drive stakeholder alignment across senior functions, including logistics, operations, finance, and leadership You are the contact person to translate business requirements into sourcing strategies and ensure execution excellence You are intergral to provide commercial insights , scenario analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making Overseeing implementation of sourcing outcomes and ensure sustainable supplier performance are parts of your tasks You'll act as a key interface for strategic suppliers and critical sourcing initiatives This role includes international collaboration and you are excited to travel within Europe (approx. 10-20%) Candidate Profile The requirements of the role include: As a Freight Sourcing Expert, you possess a University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or similar You have 5+ years of experience in procurement, with strong exposure to strategic freight sourcing and transport procurement (road, rail, sea) You have a proven track record of leading complex, cross-regional sourcing projects end-to-end Your competecies are in developing sourcing strategies and leading high-value supplier negotiations You are experienced in managing senior stakeholders and driving alignment in a matrix organisation You have a strong understanding of logistics networks, transport markets, and cost structures Ideally, you have experience in supplier management, performance tracking, and implementation of sourcing decisions and with e-sourcing tools (e.g. Transporeon) and procurement systems Your mindset is analytical and you enjoy negotiations and project management As a Freight Sourcing Consultant (m/w/d) you are a strong communicator with the ability to influence senior levels You are fluent in English (mandatory); German is a strong advantage; additional European languages are beneficial A highly self-driven and structured work style is a matter of course for you, as well as being comfortable operating with high ownership in a dynamic environment Convincing offers Our benefits for you are wide-ranging: Flexible working environment (Flexitime, remote work options within Austria and abroad, 6 weeks of annual leave) Health & wellbeing support (Wellpass membership, mental health support, wellbeing initiatives) Personal and professional development opportunities International and collaborative working environment Modern workplace and mobile devices to support flexible working Restaurant, free fruit and beverages Sustainable mobility support (Public transport subsidy and bike leasing) Employee discounts across shopping, travel, sports and health services Relocation support Remuneration Gross annual salary starting from € 62.500* *willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications Place of work ​4653 Eberstalzell, Solarstraße 7 Moserstraße, 5020 Salzburg from September 2026 ​​ Start of work ​As soon as possible​ How to Apply All applications take place through our online portal.
