About The Role
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: This role combines creative vision, strategic thinking, and team leadership in Visual Merchandising, with a strong emphasis on retail excellence and consumer experience. You will support and drive the planning and execution of Visual Merchandising strategies aligned with global guidelines, ensuring a consistent and elevated brand presentation across all consumer touchpoints. The role plays a critical part in creating inspiring, consumer-centric retail environments that bring the brand to life, enhance storytelling, and drive engagement, conversion, and business performance. Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development & Implementation : Support and drive the development and execution of a comprehensive visual merchandising strategy aligned with brand and retail ambitions. Translate global direction into locally relevant, impactful retail experiences that elevate consumer engagement and drive sell-through. Creative Direction & Story Telling : Ensure high execution standards across all stores with strong attention to detail and brand consistency. Optimize styling and product presentation to balance visual impact and commercial results. Leadership and Team Management : Lead and coach a field VM coaches, as well as external VM agencies, fostering creativity, ownership, and strong execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Retail Sales, Merchandisers, Retail Activation, and Consumer Experience teams to deliver aligned and impactful campaigns. Budget & Resource Management : Manage VM resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effective execution while maintaining quality. Analysis and Optimization : Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to evaluate the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Store Operations & Training : Develop visual aspects of new store openings and remodels, and provide training and guidelines to store teams on visual merchandising best practices and standards. KPI’s: Retail Net Sales Conversion Sell out of full price items Return on marketing investment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate creative concepts into business results. Strong creative vision, design skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and inspire teams. Advanced user of MS Office Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 4-6 years’ experience in relevant Marketing fields Fluent in both Japanese and English (TOEIC 750 or above) Passion for sports and fashion/art Proven track record as people manager Key Relationships: Retail team Wholesale team Business Unit team / Category Communication External partners including agencies Global Consumer Experience / Retail Activation
