About The Role
POSITION SNAPSHOT Role: Associate Manager, Distribution & Warehousing POSITION SUMMARY The Distribution Lead is responsible for driving operational efficiencies across the distribution network, leading cross-functional projects to minimize stock damages and customer refusals, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. This role also spearheads Nestlé Egypt’s logistics digitalization journey, ensuring modern, data-driven solutions are implemented to optimize performance and customer satisfaction. A DAY IN THE LIFE … Operational Excellence Oversee distribution operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery. Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, stock damage rates, and customer refusals. Implement corrective actions to reduce inefficiencies and improve service levels. Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s safety, quality, and sustainability standards. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead projects involving production, warehousing, sales, and customer service teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that reduce damages and refusals. Drive alignment between logistics, commercial, and operational functions. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to embed best practices across teams. Strategic Initiatives Identify and lead potential savings projects across the distribution network. Develop business cases for cost-reduction initiatives and track ROI. Benchmark performance against industry standards and competitors. Digital Transformation Lead the logistics digitalization journey, introducing advanced tools and systems. Implement Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and data analytics platforms. Champion automation and predictive analytics to enhance decision-making. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of distribution and logistics operations. Expertise in project management and cross-functional collaboration. Analytical mindset with ability to identify savings opportunities. Proficiency in digital logistics tools (WMS, TMS, ERP, data analytics). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. What will make you successful… Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. 7+ years of experience in logistics/distribution, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects. Experience in digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable. Performance Indicators Reduction in stock damages and customer refusals. Achievement of cost savings targets. Improvement in delivery accuracy and service levels. Successful implementation of digital logistics solutions.
