Administrative Assistant - Safety

The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in assisting the safety team by providing administrative support, organizing documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and supporting the team and Director of Safety.

A typical day looks like

  • Maintain accurate records by keeping and tracking injury logs, safety audits and employee certifications.
  • Assist in scheduling safety classes, drug testing, meetings, and tracking attendance.
  • Help collect data, organize, and assist in preparing reports for leadership team.
  • Communicate with new and current employees, a
  • nswer safety questions and pass messages between workers and safety managers.
  • Organize safety manuals and prepare files for safety management.
  • Do you have what it takes?
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in the construction or related industries.
  • Basic understanding of construction terminology is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and organized records.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
