Requirements

The Speech Therapist must have

• Must provide a master’s degree in Speech Therapist from an accredited institution.
• Must provide current State of New Mexico License/Certifications in Speech Therapist.
• Must provide key personnel’s resume demonstrating experience as a special education teacher.
• Must provide a signed letter of commitment confirming availability upon approval by the BIE.
• Must successfully complete the required background investigation and security screening.
• Must provide experience of work similar in size and scope to this requirement.

Duties

• Provide student related services as specified in the student’s IEP.
• Provide on-site Speech Therapy services.
• Participate in all student IEP meetings in-person or virtually.
• Provide therapy plans for review and alignment of services to be rendered.
• Provide written reports for the Individual Education Plans.
• Submit quarterly progress reports and service logs.
• Complete full summative reports for reevaluations or evaluations.
• Provide parent/guardian involvement and answer questions related to student services.
• Provide monthly invoices and documentation of services rendered.
• Train local ESS staff as needed upon request.
