Deputy General Manager/General Manager-Legal

We are seeking a dynamic legal professional to join our Renewable Energy business in India. The role involves providing strategic and operational legal support across various facets of renewable energy projects especially for projects being undertaken in Middle East market. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in contract law, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution within the energy sector. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: •Contract Management: oDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including: Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contracts Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) supply agreements Solar module supply agreements Bid-related documentation and consortium agreement. •Procurement Legal Support: oLead legal review and negotiations of procurement contracts and vendor agreements. oEnsure alignment with internal procurement policies and risk mitigation strategies. •Regulatory & Compliance: oEnsure all business operations comply with applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. oProvide legal guidance on renewable energy and hydrogen project frameworks, including environmental and safety regulations. •Risk & Dispute Management: oIdentify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions. oSupport pre-dispute resolution strategies and manage external counsel when necessary. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience: •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution. •9–13 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. •Strong understanding of energy laws, contract law, and regulatory frameworks. •Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. •Ability to work cross-functionally with business, technical, and legal teams.
