Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date 08/30/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $2,144–$2,148. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 nights. Setting: hospital operating room environment. Specialty focus: OR with potential involvement in ENT, neuro, or surgical oncology cases. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,144–$2,148 - Guaranteed hours: 0 - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12 Nights - Start date: 08/30/2026 - Setting: hospital operating room; travel assignment - Orientation/credentialing: in-person orientation prior to start; Epic training as scheduled Responsibilities - Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing ENT, neuro, or surgical oncology procedures, including airway management support as needed. - Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, assist with draping and positioning, and manage instrumentation and counts. - Monitor patient status intraoperatively, respond to physiologic changes, and document events in the electronic medical record. - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR team to ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and efficient turnover of cases. - Assist with specimen labeling, transport, and equipment readiness; support room setup and post-anesthesia hand-off as applicable. - May float to other OR areas as needed and within scope of practice; adhere to facility policies and infection prevention guidelines.
