Overview Registered Nurse, Outpatient Oncology (Radiation Therapy) in Saint Helena, California. Travel assignment starting 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,157 per week to $2,214 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,157–$2,214 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) - Start date: August 31, 2026 - Setting: Outpatient oncology/radiation therapy in a short-term acute care hospital Responsibilities - Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatients in the oncology/radiation therapy department according to established standards and the nursing process. - Conduct baseline assessments, nursing history, vital signs, pain assessment, and medication history; document per Oncology Nursing Society guidelines. - Assess fall risk and allergies; communicate pertinent changes to physicians and the care team. - Perform weekly assessments for signs and symptoms of radiation therapy side effects and prepare charts for initial assessments and follow-up visits. - Assist physicians with procedures in the radiation therapy department, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy; prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures and equipment. - Perform blood draws, initiate intravenous therapy for administration of contrast, administer medications as ordered, and provide oxygen as needed; act as a mediator for transportation and scheduling between patients and radiation therapists.
