Food Server

The Role

As a Server, you will serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

• •Enthusiastically promote a customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
• •Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right”
• •Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing duties
• •Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials
• •Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
• •Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else
• •Removes items from table when customers have finished meals
• •Computing customer checks, operates the POS system and accepts payments
• •Reporting tips for each shift
• •Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards
• •Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns
• •Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform
• •Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas
• •Avoiding leaving work area during peak periods
• •Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager
• •Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
• •Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• •Must be 21 years of age or older
• •Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• •Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• •Must have six months or more related experience
• •Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

$9.00/hr plus tips
