Job Description: Benchling Developer/Administrator (5+ Years Experience) Job Title: Benchling Developer / Benchling Administrator Experience: 5+ Years Location: India Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Benchling Developer/Administrator with 5+ years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Benchling platforms within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook), LIMS, Registry, workflow automation, data integrations, and laboratory digital transformation initiatives. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Configure, customize, and maintain the Benchling platform, including ELN, Registry, Inventory, and Workflows modules. • Design and implement Benchling solutions to support Research & Development (R&D), Quality, and Laboratory Operations teams. • Gather business requirements from scientists, researchers, and stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions. • Develop and maintain Benchling templates, schemas, workflows, and data models. • Build and support integrations between Benchling and enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, LabVantage, Veeva, ERP, MES, and data warehouse platforms. • Develop APIs and automation solutions using Python, REST APIs, and scripting technologies. • Perform data migration, validation, and system upgrades. • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and governance standards are followed. • Troubleshoot platform issues and provide end-user support and training. • Collaborate with business analysts, scientists, IT teams, and vendors to deliver scalable solutions. • Create technical documentation, SOPs, and best practices for Benchling implementations. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in Benchling administration, development, or implementation. • Strong experience with Benchling ELN, LIMS, Registry, Inventory Management, and Workflow tools. • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and data integration technologies. • Experience working in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Genomics, Clinical Research, or Life Sciences organizations. • Knowledge of laboratory processes, scientific data management, and research workflows. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Understanding of GxP, FDA, GMP, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Benchling Certifications. • Experience with ETL tools and middleware platforms. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures. • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. ________________________________________ Nice-to-Have Skills • Bioinformatics and genomics data management. • Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) experience. • Experience in clinical or pre-clinical research environments. • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics in life sciences.
