Veterinary Assistant, Emergency Location: Centerville, OH Schedule: Full Time | 3rd Shift | 3 Twelve Hour Shifts Per Week | 6pm-630am - Exact Days To Be Discussed | Includes Every Other Weekend & Some Holidays | On Call Shift Once Per Month Compensation: $17-23/hr | Shift Differential $3/hr from 7pm-7am | On Call Pay $25/shift Guaranteed + 1.5X Hourly Rate for a Minimum of 3 Hours, If Called In Why Join Care Center, Dayton At Care Center, every team member plays an essential role in delivering exceptional care to pets and the people who love them. In Your Day-To-Day, You Will Provide compassionate nursing care and hands-on support for emergency and hospitalized patients. Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient restraint, treatments, diagnostics, and medical procedures. Support clients throughout their visit by providing exceptional customer service and helping ensure a positive experience. Monitor patient comfort and well-being while advocating for the highest quality of care. Help maintain an organized, efficient Emergency department by supporting patient flow and collaborating with the veterinary team. Continue developing your clinical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and ongoing learning opportunities. What You Bring High school diploma, GED, or higher education At least 2-years veterinary clinical experience preferred Ability to execute treatment orders as directed by a DVM Ability to safely restrain patients for various types of treatments and procedures Ability to work efficiently, and remain calm during stressful situations Ability to run diagnostic laboratory tests and procedures Possesses a positive attitude and team oriented mindset Dedicated to excellent client communication and client care. In June of 2019, we moved to a brand new, 15,000 square foot facility.
