Your responsibilities

Further development of our rail and infrastructure portfolio, as well as the expansion of methodological and technological capabilities

Analysis, optimization, and digitalization of processes in infrastructure planning, operations, maintenance, and control

Development of business, process, and target models for digital transformation in infrastructure and rail environments

Design and implementation of modern technology and data solutions (e.g., IoT, analytics, automation, signalling and control systems, energy systems)

Analysis and further development of organizational, governance, and operating models in the infrastructure context

Design and implementation of modern steering, monitoring, and management systems for infrastructure portfolios

Project and program management in classical, hybrid, and agile environments

Preparation and facilitation of workshops, trainings, and change management activities across the infrastructure value chain

Identification of new topics, data‑driven business models, and development opportunities in the rail sector, including potential scaling to other industries

Who you are

You are a confident, analytically strong personality with excellent communication skills and a passion for taking responsibility. You want to work in an environment where you drive topics forward, prepare decisions, and create impact together with your team.

Additionally, you possess the following distinguishing qualities

Solid expertise in infrastructure, technology, mobility, and digital transformation

Excellent university degree (Master’s, MBA, PhD)

6+ years of experience in consulting, project management, or the infrastructure sector (planning, operations, or maintenance) – ideally with initial leadership or steering responsibility

Proven success in developing new business opportunities, building long‑term client relationships, and delivering and scaling consulting and/or transformation projects

Strong strategic and conceptual thinking, with excellent understanding of organizational, process, or operating models in the rail infrastructure context

Deep knowledge of consulting and project management methodologies, and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams from engineering, operations, procurement, production, and IT

Initiative, creativity, a high sense of responsibility, and willingness to travel based on project needs

Relevant certifications (such as PMP, Prince2, Scrum, ITIL)

Business‑fluent German and English; additional languages are an advantage

Beneficial skills are

In-depth understanding of track systems, facilities, signaling technology, energy systems, and infrastructure system architectures

Experience with digital infrastructure models and data structures (for example GIS, LIDAR, BIM, asset and network condition models)

Knowledge of modern infrastructure standards as well as life cycle, monitoring, predictive maintenance, and maintenance approaches

Experience with data‑driven infrastructure solutions, reporting and transparency requirements, and complex digitalization or migration programs

Basic knowledge of applying artificial intelligence to rail‑specific problem statements
