Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Electrical Engineer
as an independent contract worker to support the design and coordination of cutting-edge
data center projects across the U.S.
In this role, you will be responsible for modeling, designing power distribution, security and life systems, standby generators and UPS systems, performing calculations, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring design accuracy using advanced BIM and electrical engineering tools. You will collaborate closely with other disciplines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to the full project lifecycle from schematic design through execution. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Using BIM tools to virtually construct Electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines using tools such as
Autodesk Revit – is a must
Developing a thorough understanding and delivery of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
Determining and expediting the engineering deliverables for projects
Developing and maintenance of the project scope of work documentation and revisions as required during the design evolution
Designing of electrical systems including power distribution systems, UPS systems, standby generator systems, and security and life systems
Preparing the engineering calculations, schematic designs and detailed designs
Preparing technical documentation required for the execution of the project including, design criteria, design calculations, process flow sheets, and specification and data sheets for electrical equipment
Reviewing of shop drawings
Producing models and drawings in various BIM software and CAD modeling tools
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
- Proven expertise as an electrical engineer
- Written and spoken English B1 and higher
- Experience in electrical design for industrial, residential, and commercial sectors, in medium voltage and low voltage distribution, lighting, grounding and lightning protection
- Experience in various electrical modeling software
- Hands-on experience using tools and software such as
- Revit Autodesk – is a must
- Experience in working on projects in a multidisciplinary environment
- Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
- Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly while meeting project deadlines
- Self-starters that are ambitious and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Excellent communication skills
