Job Description – Senior Cloud Manager / Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP/AWS) Position: Senior Cloud Manager Experience: 6–10 Years Location: Noida / Delhi NCR Department: Technology Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Reporting To: Infra Head About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Manager / Senior Cloud Engineer to lead and manage cloud infrastructure, production operations, and platform reliability for our digital payments ecosystem, including PPI Wallet, UPI, Payment Aggregator (PA), RuPay Card Issuance & Management, Merchant Onboarding, and Payment Processing Platforms. The role requires hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, production operations, security, automation, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will work closely with Development, Security, Product, and Business teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of critical payment systems. Candidates with prior experience in Fintech, Banking, Payments, PPI, UPI, PA, Card Issuance, or NPCI ecosystems will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across Production, DR, UAT, and Development environments. Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures. Manage cloud resources including Compute, Kubernetes, Networking, Storage, Databases, and Security Services. Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization. Lead cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives. Production Support & Service Reliability Ensure 24x7 availability of business-critical payment applications. Manage production incidents, service restoration, and root cause analysis (RCA). Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks. Drive improvements in system resilience, uptime, and operational efficiency. Support major production deployments and release management activities. Security & Compliance Implement cloud security best practices and infrastructure hardening. Manage IAM, privileged access, network security, and data protection controls. Coordinate vulnerability assessments, remediation, and patch management. Support compliance requirements related to: o RBI Guidelines o NPCI Requirements o Payment Aggregator Regulations o PCI-DSS o ISO 27001 o CERT-In Directives o UIDAI Security Controls (where applicable) Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Design and maintain Disaster Recovery strategies. Conduct periodic DR drills and failover testing. Ensure compliance with organizational RTO and RPO requirements. Maintain infrastructure readiness for regulatory and audit requirements. DevOps & Automation Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud automation. Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Improve operational efficiency through automation and self-healing mechanisms. Support containerized and microservices-based application environments. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with cloud providers, managed service providers, and technology partners. Manage vendor SLAs and infrastructure-related escalations. Work closely with application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders. Team Leadership & Mentoring Mentor junior cloud and infrastructure engineers. Establish operational best practices and standard operating procedures. Lead infrastructure projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in resource planning and team development activities. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing cloud-based production environments. Experience handling mission-critical applications with stringent uptime requirements. Exposure to high-volume transaction processing systems is highly desirable. Experience in regulated industries such as Banking, Fintech, Payments, or Financial Services is preferred.
