Welding Engineer

to join a growing manufacturing team in Tampa, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in

welding engineering, fabrication, manufacturing engineering, quality control, robotic welding, and continuous improvement

.

The Welding Engineer will support production operations by developing welding procedures, improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting weld quality issues, and driving operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and operations teams to optimize welding performance, reduce downtime, and support fabrication and metal manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve welding procedures and fabrication processes
• Support production, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams
• Troubleshoot welding defects and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with AWS standards, welding codes, and safety regulations
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization projects
• Analyze welding data and support root cause analysis initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience with MIG, TIG, robotic welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of AWS codes, welding metallurgy, lean manufacturing, and quality systems
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
