About The Role

To strengthen our AI, Data & Automation team, we are looking for a highly skilled Search Platform Engineer with proven experience in designing backend architectures and distributed systems, and solid knowledge of Elastic or OpenSearch technologies and AWS services. This role will play a key part in developing Würth’s international search platform. Responosibilities Managing the architecture of Würth’s search platform on AWS and defining its evolution strategy; Setting standards for performance, reliability, observability, and Service Level Agreements; Designing and optimizing indexing and data pipelines using Databricks, including schema and mapping development and query strategies; Hands-on development of complex functionalities, prototypes, and core architectural components; Ensuring scalability, monitoring, and cost optimization of Elastic or OpenSearch clusters, while maintaining technical consistency across international domains and applications. Requirements Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training, with solid professional experience; In-depth knowledge of backend architectures and distributed systems; Experience with Elastic or OpenSearch, particularly in schema design, querying, scaling, and operations; Strong proficiency with AWS services and in designing robust data pipelines, preferably using Spark or Databricks; Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional teams. Nice to have: Certifications in cloud, Big Data, or distributed architectures; Excellent German language skills; Experience in international environments or with large-scale platforms.
