Technical Officer, Inspection

Job Purpose The Technical Officer, Inspection is to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) track inspection in accordance with work instructions. Identify and categories the defects found with references provided. All tracks, tunnels and the associated peripherals shall be effectively and efficiently inspected to provide a safe and reliable journey for our commuters. Responsibilities Inspect the MRT tracks, third rails, tunnels, and the associated peripherals in accordance with work instructions Walk approximately 5km of tracks during inspection. Carry out the day-to-day inspection and administration activities of Pway Patrolling department. Support cross functional teams as and when required. Ensure that the latest version of work instructions/procedures are used. Meet the set KPIs and maintain high level of productivity and quality. Attend daily Toolbox briefing conducted by Person-In-Charge or Possession Master. Subjected to regular safety inspection/audit at worksites to ensure compliance to safety procedures. Carry out work / job / task as per assigned by the AE/STO/Detailer. Carry-out the role of Person-in-charge or Possession master duties and responsibilities. Able to work in team and ensure the safety and care of fellow teammates. To ensure proper conduct and behavior when carrying out inspection works. Qualifications & Work Experience NITEC / NTC 3 / Higher NITEC in the following discipline: Rapid Transit / Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Microelectronic / Marine / Robotics. Skills Basic proficiency in MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint. A good team player. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Good time management skills. Positive attitude and open to learning on-the-job. Must be prepared to perform permanent night shift Skills
