Job Summary Operate forklifts to unload all incoming material and VNA trucks to supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished product. Transport finished product to storage racks or shipment staging areas. Ensure finished product is loaded onto trucks in an accurately and timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements and standards. Shifts Available: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm Thursday-Saturday, every other Sunday, 6:00 am-6:00 pm (shift differential pay included) Job Responsibilities Operate forklifts and VNA’s in a safe and efficient manner. Follow work instructions depending on tasks using the RF scanners and computer interface. Read production schedule, customer order, shipping order, etc., to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Fill requisitions or requests to supply production operations with materials to produce finished products. Organize, store, retrieve inventory safely and correctly using the RF scanner. Convey materials back and forth between production staging areas and warehouse designated areas. Re-weigh and label all material coming back to maintain accurate inventory. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, bins according to predetermined sequence. Remove/Rework any damaged product before putting away in warehouse racks. Inspect finished goods for quality defects when scanning to customer deliveries. Transfer finished goods to staging or storage areas. Print and scan Bill of lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner. Remove/Reworksany damaged product on pallets before loading. Load finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements. Accurately complete all written logs and data input to include closing sequences of all shipments. Participate in inventory management, i.e. inventory accuracy, cycle counts, inventory verification. Report inventory discrepancies. Ensure accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies. May be responsible for inspecting, unloading and receiving any materials by truck, shipping container, tankers, railcars and completing all associated paperwork. Effectively communicate with all internal departments. Maintain a clean work area and preforms general housekeeping duties. Adhere to all departmental/company policies and procedures. Follow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, permit conditions, and safe work practices. Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Handle, label, store, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Comply with environmental programs related to hazardous waste, spill prevention, stormwater protection, chemical storage, air emissions, and pollution prevention.Immediately report safety incidents, near misses, spills, equipment malfunctions, and environmental concerns. Participate in inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective actions to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Follow operating procedures designed to maintain environmental compliance and promptly report abnormal operating conditions or potential environmental impacts. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED or a minimum of one to three months related experience. Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, paperwork, BOL and any other instructions and documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, proportions and percentages. Basic computer knowledge is preferred, I.E. Microsoft Suite. SAP system knowledge is preferred.
