Mechanical Technical Engineer

Job Summary The Mechanical Technical Engineer supervises and follow up mechanical draftsmen work schedule, verify and check mechanical shop drawings and technical submittals. Job Responsibilities 1 Ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings,specifications, details in coordination with all other disciplines. Ensure that the drawings submission schedule efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality. Ensure the shop drawings are executed in compliance with local authorities that has jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications. Maintain adherence to the relevant Company's policies and procedures. Ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always. Guide the technical engineers/draftsmen through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project engineering phase. Assign specific targets to the various work activities. Plan and allocate responsibilities to team members. Review and approve Mechanical shop drawings before submission. Review and approve Mechanical design calculations before submission. Review and sign-off Mechanical material technical submittal before issuance to consultant. Review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications, authorities, etc... Liaise with other technical departments(architect, structural..etc.............) for the relevant reviews, approvals etc. Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies Job Responsibilities 2 Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills Technical background and ability to prepare and maintain tracking schedules Technical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering parameters Strong Knowledge of the Construction Field Mechanical codes and Standards NFPA Local Regulations UPDA Certified Engineer or Certification with attestation. Job Experience Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus Competencies Agility AI Fluency Resilience Quality Leadership Electrical Instrumentation L3 PLC hardware trouble shooting and maintenance L3 Failure mode defect analysis L3 Reading Electrical Schemes L3 Electrical load diagrams / schedules and calculation L3 Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
