About The Role
JOB PURPOSE To establish & implement best safety practices, compliance to utmost safety & occupation health as per DGCA / ICAO / statutory requirements and best industry practices at airport facilities involving all related stakeholders. To audit and implement all regulatory compliances required for Aerodrome license and other statutory requirements ensuring safe, compliant & uninterrupted aircraft / airport operations. ORGANISATION CHART Head - Business Excellence & Sustainability Specialist - Safety & OH Compliance Associate Manager - Safety & OH Compliance KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Accountabilities Performance Indicators Formulate and implement safety and compliance audit program to self-audit the aerodrome for conformity with the requirements to Aerodrome License, DGCA CARs, ICAO Annex 14 and ICAO Doc 9137 (Airport Service Manual) and Doc 9157 (Aerodrome Design Manual) Obtain Aerodrome License on time Planned v/s actual No. of deviations observed from the norms Establish & Implement Safety Management System (SMS), Promulgate Safety Policy and conduct regular internal Safety Promotion Activities for effective implementation. Updated SMS Manual and Safety Policy No. audits planned v/s Actual. No. of Safety Promotion Initiatives undertaken % implementation Ensure that all amendments in the DGCA regulations pertaining to aerodromes are continuously monitored and disseminated to all concerned for implementation at the aerodrome level. Timely dissemination of amendments and tracking associated changes in SOP / Manuals / Ground Infrastructure / ATR Prepare safety assessment project reports, hazard log book and ensure mitigation measures are provided by each concerned for identified risk as per the SMS. Preparation of Airport HazLog Timely completion of Safety Risk assessment and report preparation as per SMS / CAR requirement. Monthly Safety Report Initiate action to integrate the SMS of stakeholders with SMS of airport operator. Sync of SMSs No. of review of stakeholder SMS No. of amendment incorporated Certifying new infrastructure being introduced at the aerodrome, as per DGCA CAR standard specifications, before its commissioning. Timely completion of Risk Assessments. Tracking Mitigation responsibilities attributed to different teams KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional Details EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS DGCA Ministry of Civil Aviation CISF Airports Authority of India (ATC) Ground Handlers and Service Providers Airlines & Vendors Other Private Airports INTERNAL INTERACTIONS All GGIAL Functional & Operational Teams including Senior Management All departmental HODs FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS Ensure effective management of AOP/Budget OTHER DIMENSIONS Interaction with Multi-dimensional stakeholders with appropriate grace, humility and teamwork EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS BE (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or B Sc. (Electronics/Physics) Recognized safety qualification / certifications Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (from ACI & ICAO) Annex 14 & other ICAO Service & Design manuals Advance knowledge of Computers RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 12 – 15 years’ experience with minimum 5 years’ experience in ATC/Airside Operations/Airside Engineering, safety & OH Audit, Compliance, SMS implementation, OH surveillance & regulatory coordination. Goan Candidates OR Candidates having working experience in Goa will be an added advantage.
