Gedeon Richter is looking for a committed and experienced professional for the position Global Portfolio Development Lead Role Purpose To lead the strategic development and optimization of the General Medicines portfolio by shaping long-term portfolio direction, driving asset prioritization, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and market needs. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to guide investment decisions and maximize portfolio value across global markets. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Strategy & Planning Define and continuously refine the global portfolio strategy for General Medicines in alignment with therapeutic priorities and market dynamics. Lead portfolio reviews and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio and propose mitigation or acceleration strategies. Asset Evaluation & Prioritization Drive cross-functional assessments of pipeline and in-line assets to inform go/no-go decisions and lifecycle strategies. Collaborate with BD to evaluate external opportunities for strategic fit and value contribution to the portfolio. Support indication expansion, geographic rollout, and lifecycle extension strategies. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner Business Development, R&D, IP, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure portfolio plans are executable and aligned with development and market access capabilities. Facilitate governance processes and ensure timely and data-driven decision-making. Market & Competitive Intelligence Monitor therapeutic trends, competitor pipelines, and market shifts to inform portfolio direction. Translate external insights into actionable portfolio recommendations. Reporting & Strategic Communication Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio performance, risks, and strategic shifts. Represent portfolio strategy in internal governance forums, to strategy formation and external partner discussions. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical portfolio strategy, product planning, or related strategic roles. Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business (MBA or PhD preferred). Proven experience in cross-functional leadership and global portfolio management.
