Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Guyana at the Oko West Mine Site.

• Assist with mechanical system design, including layout of piping, pumps, tanks, and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, equipment specifications, and installation drawings.
• Support construction and field teams by resolving design issues and assisting with commissioning.
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure equipment is installed to spec.

Requirements

• Minimum education : Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Relevant experience : Minimum 3-5 years in mechanical engineering roles with a focus on gold mining construction projects.
• Additional skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Familiarity with rotating equipment, pump systems, and mechanical testing procedures.
• Salary Rang e: Negotiable.
• Employment Type : Temporary contract for the duration of the construction.
• Working Hours : Rotation schedule: 23 of work followed by 19 days off.
