Reporting to the General Manager, ANZ, the main function of the role is to drive the Commercial Excellence processes across channel (Ethical , Retail, NZ, 3P (Contract sales force) and Export) and supporting systems to optimise sales force efficiency and effectiveness activities across brands to achieve current and future ANI ANZ business goals.
Core Job Responsibilities
Define the Abbott ANI ANZ Commercial Excellence Principles, develop guiding principles for each of the Sales Force Effectiveness enablers, and associated learning support.
Drive field force effectiveness for ethical and retail sales organization and efficiency via key levers such as KPIs, review process standardisation, incentive processes, analytics, field force data and dashboards, ethical/field force automation, field force size, deployment and customer targeting. Build capability through the development of a competency framework and operationalise for sustained performance.
Coach and support the sales managers to increase effectiveness of field force. Engage sales managers to gain insights and develop a Sales Force Excellence mindset whilst maintaining a strong performance culture throughout ANZ ANI across the channels
Design and deploy integrated analytics and dashboards to draw cause and effect relationship cut across Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), SFA system , Marketing, Market Insights, Customer Relationship Management – Ethical , Retail, NZ ,3P (contract sales force) and Export.
Design, Deploy incentive scheme and run awards/recognition program
Owns RTM for ethical and retail sales organization
Design and Deploy Capability building framework, roadmap and execution plan for sales organization across the channels
Drive and Lead business enabler projects for organization
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Reporting Line - MIS analyst and Training
Knowledge / Education Required
- A Tertiary degree in Business or related field
- Qualifications in the areas of Healthcare or Science – highly desirable
- Knows ANZ Route to market for Ethical and Retail channel
- Expertise in Excel , Word document , Presentations and analytical tools
Experience Required
- A background in FMCG, healthcare or a life science discipline within a sales role will be advantageous
- Extensive experience in a sales leadership focusing on field force effectiveness in a global organisation.
- Experience in coaching and developing successful team
- Experience as SFE , Commercial Excellence lead, analytics, SFE (Pharma/Nutrition) – desirable
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proven establishment & execution of a sophisticated, value-adding sales operations function in a small-medium business
- A proven track record of being a results-driven leader, with a knack for complex & creative problem solving
- The ability to collaborate cross-functionally to align in a strategic direction.
