FSO Electrical Inspector (Local - Vietnamese speaking)

About The Role
Verify that the electrical installation reflects the approved drawings. - Witnessing of the testing of electrical equipment and associated systems to ensure that they comply with the Contract Specification. - Verifying that correct drawings are being used at the work site. - Attend testing of electrical equipment at vendor’s premises away from the shipyard (FATs) as directed by the QA/QC Lead and FSO Manager. - Verification of all switchboard, transformer, motor and other electrical equipment installations onboard the FSO during construction and commissioning of the FSO. - Attend cleanliness inspections of switchboards, starter panels and motor terminal boxes prior to final closing. - Verification of all cable installations, cable rack and cable coaming installations. - Witness cable and equipment insulation resistance testing. - Prepare short visit reports to describe tests completed at vendor’s premises. - Identifying and documenting deviations from the Contract Specification and notifying them to the QA/QC Lead and FSO Manager. - Ensure that any agreed work rectification is in agreement with the Contract Specification and to acceptable electrical engineering standards. - Keeping the QA/QC Lead and FSO Manager fully informed of progress in his/her area of expertise. - Provide information for input into the FSO Site Office monthly progress report. - Ensuring that acceptable safety standards are maintained, recording any deficiencies, and bring them to the attention of the QA/QC Lead and FSO Manager. Education: - Must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering to at least HNC level, and/or Marine Engineering preferably to equivalent of a Class One Certificate of Competency (Steam or Motor). - Must be qualified in Ex equipment and system installation and inspection - Familiar with Quality Assurance & Quality Control Systems. Experience: - Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas and marine projects, with at least 5 years in FSO/FPSO offshore fabrication, including shipbuilding projects, preferably Chinese yards - Well versed in the relevant requirements of the following: - ABS Rules for Marine vessels 2025, - ABS Rules for Building and Classing Facilities On Offshore Installations-v26, - 2009-MODU-Code-2024 Ed-Rev 2022.09.07 (USCG)
