About The Role

Job Description: • Performs inspection/ survey as directed by the Operational Manager on the job assignment for each section (SMS). • Marine procedures and technical working instructions issued from each Technical Division of Head Office and/or BV China Head Office are to be used as instruction. • Refer the BV Rules, standards, regulations, specifications and relevant drawings as technical guidance to perform jobs. • Personal safety equipment, BV stamps, tools and VeristarPM are to be used in accordance with the provisions of work instruction. • Voluntarily qualification/certification as per China MSA requirements in liaising with his/her operations manager. • Completes the draft of records, reports and certificates requested within the requested time schedule. • Provides the information to Secretaries for invoicing. • Signs and endorses certificates/ reports/ attestations and other documents relating to the inspection / survey personally carried out. • Files and keeps updates the quality documents (including technical working instructions) received. • Participates in the canvassing for activities in co-ordination with the Operational Manager. • Refers to Department Manager for any claim or complaint received from clients ( Manufacturer, Owner, Administration and other units) to be transferred to Quality Manager. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering / Mechanical engineering or equivalent level of qualification i.e. relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship engineer officer. • At least 5 years' professional experience in a similar or related field is requested. • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken. • Enthusiastic and focused on client service delivery. • Team spirit with good communication skills. Ability to recognize and appreciate different cultural, commercial and technical viewpoints. • Ability to work under pressure and independently. • Committed to constant improvement and the ability to implement changes as required. • Flexible, keen to learn and develop new skills. • A sound awareness of Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures, and an ability to be proactive in this area. • Commercially aware. • Willing to travel and work out of the base city.
