About the Role The Workforce Planning Leader is responsible for designing and executing workforce planning strategies to enable the successful delivery of transformation initiatives across an enterprise-scale workforce of ~700 resources within the Transformation Delivery Hub. This role provides end-to-end leadership of the workforce planning function and team , ensuring the right capability, capacity, and workforce mix is in place to support current and future delivery demands. The role bridges strategic workforce planning with operational delivery needs at scale, delivering insights, forecasting, and workforce solutions that optimise productivity, manage risk, and enable adaptive, scalable transformation outcomes in a dynamic environment . As a Workforce Planning Leader, you are accountable for: Strategic Workforce Planning Demand & Capacity Management Optimise workforce utilisation at scale while balancing cost, capability, and delivery outcomes Workforce Optimisation & Delivery Support Drive a flexible and adaptive workforce model, incorporating permanent and contract resources Enable workforce agility to respond to rapidly shifting transformation priorities and enterprise changes Leadership & Team Management Provide coaching and direction to uplift workforce planning maturity across the Transformation Delivery Hub Partner with senior leaders to drive alignment, influence decision-making, and embed workforce discipline at scale Data, Insights & Reporting Provide regular reporting on workforce metrics including utilisation, cost, capacity, and capability gaps across a large enterprise workforce What will you bring? Must Have Knowledge, Skills and Experience Extensive experience in workforce planning, resource management, or workforce strategy within large and complex organisations. Proven experience leading workforce planning teams or resource management functions. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale workforce environments, preferably supporting 500+ resources. Strong analytical and modelling skills, including forecasting, scenario planning, capacity planning, and workforce analytics. Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, change programs, or delivery portfolios. Ability to translate business strategy into practical workforce plans and resource solutions. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leaders. Experience with workforce planning, resource management, or portfolio planning tools. Strong communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Commercial awareness and ability to balance workforce requirements with business and financial objectives. Good to Have Knowledge, Skills and Experience Knowledge of capability frameworks, skills taxonomies, and workforce capability assessment approaches. Background in consulting, transformation, PMO, portfolio management, or organisational design. Experience working within agile, technology, or large-scale delivery environments. Familiarity with analytics and visualisation platforms such as Power BI and Tableau. Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and workforce development practices. Experience developing workforce dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting. Understanding of workforce budgeting, resource costing, and financial planning processes. Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across complex environments. Data-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Able to operate effectively at enterprise scale while managing complexity and competing priorities. Outcome-focused with a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to operational excellence. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders. Qualifications Demonstrated success leading workforce planning, workforce strategy, resource management, or capacity planning functions in enterprise-scale environments supporting 500–700+ resources. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in workforce planning, HR, project management, portfolio management, or transformation disciplines (e.g., AHRI, PMI, PRINCE2, SAFe) are desirable. Experience operating within transformation offices, PMOs, enterprise delivery functions, or strategic workforce planning teams. Strong proficiency in workforce analytics, Excel modelling, Power BI, workforce management systems, and resource planning tools. So why join us?
