About the Role Ariat is adding an Associate Technical Designer to the Ariat team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about learning and growing within Technical Design. The Ariat Technical Design team is committed to creating well-fitting, high-quality products that deliver the best possible customer experience. You’ll Make a Difference By Partnering with Technical Designers, Product Development, Design, Merchandising, and overseas teams to support the development of high-quality products. Assisting with garment fittings by preparing samples, taking accurate measurements, documenting fit comments, and updating specifications. Supporting the maintenance of technical packages, specifications, construction details, and fit history within the PLM system. Reviewing samples for workmanship, construction, measurement accuracy, and overall quality. Assisting with pattern review, grading, and construction analysis to ensure products meet Ariat's fit and quality standards. Communicating professionally with vendors and cross-functional partners to support product development timelines. Supporting process improvement initiatives and helping maintain consistency across product categories. Working collaboratively with approachable leaders and teammates. Contributing to a culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement. Helping create products that connect people to the lifestyles and experiences they love. Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs . About You Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design, Patternmaking, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in Technical Design or a related apparel product development role. Foundational understanding of garment fit, patternmaking, grading, garment construction, and fabrics. Ability to evaluate garment fit and identify basic fit and construction issues. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Experience using Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, and PLM systems (Centric PLM or similar preferred). Experience with 2D patternmaking systems; AccuMark experience is a plus. CLO 3D experience is a plus. Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and continue developing technical expertise. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Passion for apparel product development and delivering high-quality products. Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset with a desire to improve processes and efficiency. About Ariat Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance. We develop high-quality footwear and apparel for people who ride, work, and play outdoors, and care about performance, quality, comfort, and style. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
