Position Details: 36 hours/week; benefitted 12-hour rotating shift 7a- 7:30p/7p-7:30am Clinical Tech Interns at The Johns Hopkins Hospital are entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients. Clin Tech Interns will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year and will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements. The Johns Hopkins Hospital - The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 28-bed unit that provides comprehensive medical and surgical intensive care for children from birth to 21 years old. The PICU is Maryland’s only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and state-designated pediatric burn ICU for children up to 15 years of age. Medical diagnoses include respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO. Surgeries include extensive general, cardiac, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures. No experience required Licensure/Certifications: Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required. Current CPR certification Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
