The role helps identify issues, investigate root causes, track delivery outcomes, quantify benefits and develop practical recommendations for senior stakeholders. Working across enterprise initiatives, operational performance, workforce, financial and delivery information, the role helps identify trends, investigate emerging issues and support decision making through structured analysis and stakeholder engagement. The role supports enterprise reporting, finance, transformation and simplification teams to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that support IAG's growth and simplification objectives. This role forms part of a shared analyst capability supporting both enterprise performance. Success in this role comes from understanding business problems, asking the right questions, working with stakeholders and translating information into practical actions and recommendations. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney). What You'll Do Operational Performance: Work with stakeholders to define business problems, gather information and develop recommendations. Track and assess simplification initiatives, benefits and operational impacts. Support root-cause analysis of emerging enterprise performance issues. Prepare concise insights and recommendations for executive and governance forums. Collaborate with delivery teams to understand drivers of performance and help remove barriers to achieving outcomes. Support enterprise reporting and insights across TCE, FTE, benefits realisation and project delivery metrics. Support benefits tracking and performance analysis across growth, claims, cost reduction and simplification initiatives. Investigate business problems and process inefficiencies to identify simplification opportunities and practical solutions. Support the development of fit-for-purpose reporting, tools and insights that improve transparency and decision making. Assist in modelling the impacts of changes to program scope, schedule and financials to the IAG portfolio. Produce analysis that supports insight driven performance reporting to GLT and governance forums. Collaborate across Finance, People, Technology and business teams to identify issues and support the improvement of data quality, transparency and outcomes. Support continuous improvement of enterprise performance, benefits realisation and simplification practices. Governance & Risk: Conduct initial analysis into portfolio and program risks, quantifying the likely impact and modelling the value of impact on benefits and investment spend. Support compliance with the Delivery Risk Framework and other governance standards. What you’ll bring Experience in business analysis, transformation, consulting, operational improvement, finance or project delivery environments. Strong structured problem-solving skills and an ability to investigate complex business issues. Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and develop actionable recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing insights for senior leaders. Commercial curiosity and a desire to understand how different parts of the business operate. Strong organisational skills with the ability to track multiple initiatives and follow issues through to resolution. High attention to detail, learning agility and ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Business Acumen: Basic knowledge of business concepts and processes, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support sound decision-making. Comfortable using Excel and reporting tools to support analysis and insight generation. Desirable but not essential: Experience with Power BI, SQL or similar analytical tools.
