What You’ll Do

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Executive to drive both new client acquisition and account growth within the Financial Services sector.

Financial services firms compete fiercely for talent, obsess over brand and client experience, and operate in compliance-conscious environments where execution and discretion matter. This role is for someone who understands those dynamics and can translate them into gifting, merchandise, and event programs that land.

Brilliant already powers gifting and merchandise programs for some of the most respected names in financial services, including Optiver, Jump Trading, Block, PayPal, Moelis & Company, and many more.

Key Responsibilities

New Client Acquisition

Identify and engage new business opportunities across the financial services sector, leveraging lead generation, prospecting, and consultative sales techniques.

Leverage your existing network and industry fluency to reach the right buyers: Brand and Marketing, People / Talent and Recruiting, Events, Executive Assistants and Chiefs of Staff, and Investor Relations.

Run consultative discovery, product demonstrations, and negotiations tailored to financial services use cases and buying processes.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of target accounts, mapping each firm to the gifting and merchandise programs most relevant to them.

Account Management Partnership

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for newly acquired clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.
  • Develop strategic account plans that reflect how these firms buy: multiple stakeholders, brand and legal review, and compliance-conscious gifting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client experiences.

Strategic Growth

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging market opportunities to drive business development efforts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our software-enabled gifting solutions and communicate their value effectively.
  • Provide market and client insight back to product and marketing to sharpen Brilliant's financial services offering.

What You Bring

Deep experience within fintech or the broader financial services sector - whether in sales, business development, recruiting, marketing, events, or firm administration - combined with a demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and drive outcomes

An existing network and credibility within financial services, and comfort engaging senior, fast-moving, detail-oriented stakeholders.

Proven track record of building and growing client relationships while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Highly organized with strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
