About The Role

Role: Manager - Digital Transformation (S&OP and APS) Location: IBC, Bangalore Reporting to: Digital Owner Team name: Digital Transformation (Factory / Manufacturing Digitalization) About the Team and the Role: The Digital Transformation team at Ather is responsible for factory and manufacturing digitalization, leading the design, implementation, and integration of digital platforms across factory operations. This role is for an experienced Digital Transformation professional to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of an Advanced Planning & Scheduling System (APS) spanning raw material planning, production scheduling, and finished goods planning, acting as the bridge between business planning teams and technology systems. Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end selection, solution blueprinting, design, configuration, and phased rollout of the Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) platform across plants alongside implementation partners and vendors. • Collaborate with S&OP, Planning, and Factory Operations teams to execute process workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and align current planning processes with the digital APS-enabled state. • Own integration architecture and data flows between the APS platform, core ERP (SAP S/4HANA), PLM, and middleware (SAP PI/PO), covering master and transactional data readiness. • Establish BI dashboards and reporting in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to track platform adoption, planning KPIs, and forecast accuracy. • Define the future digital roadmap incorporating advanced capabilities such as AI-based demand sensing, scenario planning, and supply chain resilience. • Manage end-to-end program governance, budgets, vendor and system integrator relationships, risk mitigation, and steering committee cadences. • Drive organizational change management, training, and platform adoption across factory and planning teams to ensure sustained usage post go-live. • Present program progress, risks, and business cases with ROI to leadership to secure alignment on scope, budget, and timelines. Experience and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or IT; MBA or PG in Operations, Supply Chain, or Technology Management is preferred. • 6 to 10 years of overall experience, with significant experience in implementing or driving adoption of APS/planning platforms within a manufacturing setup. Must Have Competencies • End-to-end implementation and solution design of Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems across factory operations. • Domain expertise in S&OP, demand planning, MRP/DRP, production scheduling, and finished goods planning. • Integration architecture design between APS platforms, core ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA/ECC), and middleware layers. • Business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and requirement translation into scalable digital solution blueprints. Good to Have Competencies • Implementation experience with platforms such as SAP IBP/APO, o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or OMP. • Supply chain data management, data migration design, and analytics dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. • Program governance, SI vendor management, budget tracking, and risk mitigation for large-scale digital transformations. • Change management frameworks and training execution for digital platform adoption in manufacturing environments.
