Supplier Manager - Information Technology & Services

Role: Supplier Manager - IT & Services Procurement Location: IBC Knowledge park, Bangalore Reporting to: Commodity Lead Team name: Strategic Sourcing About the Team and the Role The Strategic Sourcing team at Ather is responsible for building robust supplier relationships, driving procurement strategies, and ensuring seamless operations across all key commodity areas. This role is for a Supplier Manager - IT & Services Procurement who will head procurement operations across SaaS, cloud infrastructure, software licensing, IT hardware, telecom, and managed engineering services. Responsibilities Design and execute Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Manage indirect procurement commodities including SaaS, Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), IT hardware, networking, telecom, and engineering outsourcing. Stratify supplier bases by strategic priority and create customized supplier engagement programs. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and drive joint action planning with internal teams and suppliers. Early-identify and proactively mitigate technology, supply chain, and quality risks across the supply base. Plan, organize, and execute the annual supplier event, managing core messaging and content. Track supplier performance metrics, flag operational gaps, and lead cross-functional improvement programs. Collaborate with internal Sourcing, Fulfilment, and Quality teams to drive supplier communication and strategy execution. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute, or an MBA in Supply Chain Management. 7 - 10 years of relevant functional experience in handling Indirect commodities procurement. Must Have Competencies Deep understanding of the IT and services supplier landscape, value chain mapping, and zero-based costing methodologies. Advanced capability in spend analysis, commercial negotiations, and INCO terms application. Proven experience developing and executing supplier strategies and engagement frameworks. Strong capability in managing program delivery across time, cost, and quality parameters. Good to Have Competencies Hands-on experience executing procurement strategies within Greenfield projects.
