Senior Engineer ASQ

Role: Senior ASQ Engineer- Firmware Location: IBC knowledge Park, Bengaluru Reporting Structure: ASQ Lead - Firmware Team Name: AtherStack Quality About the Team and the Role: The ASQ role in Ather is responsible for improving the quality of the Software/Firmware through implementation of robust software development processes at different stages of development. The team also leads issue/bug management, gate reviews, quality metrics tracking & quality analysis. Your role would be to lead a team of quality engineers to guide for the Process implementation, process improvement and performing internal assessments/audits. You will also work with cross functional stakeholders to develop & implement processes. Responsibilities: Quality through Processes ASPICE / Software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Working within an Agile framework using Jira, Github and Confluence, the ideal candidate will leverage hands-on ASPICE experience to implement software development processes, conduct gap analyses, preparing templates, checklist,etc, perform spot checks and lead internal assessments/audits. Drive improvements in Software development & problem management processes by working with cross functional teams to arrest failure patterns. Quality Analysis Gate Review - Developing & maintaining frameworks to conduct gate reviews with development stakeholders to assure the quality of major software development at various stages of development. Release sign off - Assessing the release readiness for each software release by conducting process adherence checks. Quality Metrics - Developing & tracking quality metrics to assess the software releases and performance of the software in field & manufacturing. Lessons Learned - Ensuring lessons learned at each stage of Program development is captured and adhered to in the subsequent programs. Bug management Coordinating with stakeholders like validation team, manufacturing & customer quality teams, etc to understand the bugs and prioritize the bugs for resolution. Carry out governance for the active bugs to ensure timely resolution & stakeholder management. Ensure system hygiene of all the bugs to maintain a source of truth. Driving structured problem solving using 8D methodology by working closely with development teams to analyze the root cause, carry out the defect resolution and implement preventive actions. Experience and Qualifications : BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech degree in CS/IT/electronics/electrical engineering 4-7 years experience in firmware/software Quality Good to have: Certified ASPICE Provisional Assessor 4.0 Certified for Functional Safety and ASPICE for Cybersecurity Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Familiar with an agile work environment, along with tools such as JIRA, Confluence Familiar with software development in C++, Python Well versed with failure analysis tools and methods like 8D Understanding of cloud technologies including but not limited to Google cloud platform (storage, firebase etc.), Spark, Kafka and Dev-Ops pipelines Want to know more?
