Role: S enior SAP Solution Analyst Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru Reporting to- SAP Functional Lead Team Name: SAP Engineering About the Team and the Role: The team at Ather is part of SAP Engineering , responsible for managing the SAP systems and solutions for the entire organization across the supply chain—encompassing Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, Service, Finance, and Inventory. This role is for a Senior S/4 HANA Finance Consultant who will be the functional owner of our financial core. You will be responsible for architecting scalable Finance solutions within S/4HANA, strictly adhering to Clean Core principles to ensure future-ready extensibility and maintainability. You will build a robust financial foundation that provides the enterprise-wide agility, governance, and precision needed to sustain our rapid growth and diverse business models. Responsibilities: ● Architect & Govern the Core: Lead end-to-end FI/CO solution design and champion "Clean Core" principles by prioritizing standard SAP functionality and modern extensibility to ensure a scalable, future-ready architecture. ● Master Manufacturing Finance: Own the Product Costing (CO-PC) and Material Ledger architecture to ensure precise inventory valuation, actual costing, and production variance analysis across manufacturing. ● Optimize Cross-Module Value Flows: Drive seamless integration across Procure-to-Pay (MM) and Order-to-Cash (SD) , managing everything from inventory valuation and taxation (GST/TDS) to revenue recognition. ● Manage Enterprise Asset Lifecycles: Configure New Asset Accounting to handle parallel valuations and full lifecycle management for assets across our entire organizational infrastructure. ● Enable Strategic Profitability Insights: Own the CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) framework to deliver granular, real-time visibility into the performance of hardware, subscription, and service business models. ● Streamline Financial Operations: Oversee Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and banking automation, including Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) and the Automatic Payment Program (APP), to ensure operational excellence. ● Drive Solution Design & Technical Delivery: Lead the functional design and architectural validation of RICEFW objects; translate complex business requirements into robust functional specifications and provide expert leadership through SIT and UAT to ensure high-quality technical execution. Experience and Qualifications: ● Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. ● Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant with at least one full-cycle S/4 HANA implementation. Must have Competencies: ● S/4HANA Financial Architecture: Expert mastery of the S/4HANA data model, the Universal Journal, Document Splitting, and Segment Reporting. ● Product Costing Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP Controlling, specifically in Product Cost Planning, Cost Object Controlling, and Material Ledger actual costing. ● Integration & Interface Management: Strong proficiency in designing and managing interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems using OData APIs, IDocs, ALE/EDI. ● Clean Core & Standard SAP: Demonstrated ability to implement standard SAP solutions with a focus on scalability and minimal custom footprint. ● Cross-Module Integration: Deep expertise in Automatic Account Determination and value flow between Finance and Logistics modules (SD, MM, PP). Good to have Competencies: ● SAP Fiori UX: Strong understanding of Fiori applications to drive modern user adoption and experience. ● Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to perform basic ABAP debugging to identify and resolve complex system issues. ● Professional Certification: Official SAP S/4HANA Certification for Financial Accounting/ Management Accounting. ● Modern Extensibility: Familiarity with SAP BTP or side-by-side extensibility concepts to support Clean Core objectives.
